Swancor was initially founded in Hsinchu Taiwan in 1992 by Mr. Robert Tsai, who is now the president of Swancor group. Mr. Tsai chose epoxy vinyl ester resin technology for his master degree when he studied in university, therefore it became the core technology of Swancor. With the technology that Swancor had, Robert decided to focus in anti-corrosion applications of composites and FRP industries.
The goal of global market was targeted ever since the establishment of the company. The first success was when Swancor exported the first lot of product to Malaysia in 1993. Another break-through was made in 1995 that Swancor authorized Hoechst (Australia) as Swancor's exclusive distributor in both Australia and New Zealand. Hoechst was a well-know pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals supplier in global market. This has significantly proved that Swancor quality is competitive with leading brands in the global market. In order to increase the capacity, Swancor moved to current location in Nantou City Taiwan in 1996 and further expansion was completed in early 2006.
In September 2002, Swancor (Shanghai) Fine Chemical announced official opening, after in-depth market development over years. The new and well-equipped factory is positioned to enhance Swancor's competence in the global market place.
