Swancor Innovation Park Opening Ceremony

SWANCOR HOLDING CO., LTD. held the opening ceremony of the group's operating headquarters Swancor Innovation Park in Nantou, Taiwan today (March 1st ), Swancor’s Chairman, Robert Tsai personally presided over the event. Nantou County Mayor, Hsu Shu-Hua, Chairman of Formosa Plastics Corporation, Jason Lin, Chairman and Managing Director of Siemens Gamesa Offshore for Asia-Pacific, Niels Steenberg, and General Manager of Vestas Taiwan, Alex Robertson, and numerous industry leaders totaling over 200 participants.


As a well-known local enterprise in Nantou, Swancor chose to establish its headquarters in Nantou, Swancor Innovation Park covers an area of ​​2,600 square meters, and the design took sustainability as the core concept, the building obtained the Gold level Green Building and Silver level intelligent Building certification. In addition to satisfying its own operation sustainability, Swancor also consider to harmonize with the natural environment and is friendly to the community hope to promote local culture and interact well with the community.

Swancor has been committed to continuous research and development efforts since its establishment, accumulating over 250 patents applications, 160 patents have been successfully certified, including 16 invention patents. Swancor Innovation Park will shoulder the mission of being the foundation for Swancor to world-leading composites materials revolution.


In 2022, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy announced its collaboration with Swancor on recyclable wind turbine blades. At the event, Chairman and Managing Director of Siemens Gamesa Offshore for Asia-Pacific, Niels Steenberg showcased an art piece which is the first recyclable wind turbine blade made from Swancor’s recyclable thermosetting resin “EzCiclo”, demonstrating Siemens Gamesa's commitment to promote full recyclable turbine cooperating with Swancor. On the same day, Swancor and Vestas Taiwan signed a MOU on Offshore Wind Power Localization, pledging to use domestically produced blade materials in offshore wind farms in Taiwan.


Robert Tsai said: “Devoted to carbon neutrality and new materials innovation is Swancor's mission in the net-zero era. The recyclable thermosetting resin EzCiclo realizes the last mile of offshore wind turbine to complete the closed-loop and the cycle of circular economy in the wind power industry by breaking the old rules that the wind blades are considered non-recyclable. We believe Swancor Innovation Park will become the foundation for Swancor to world-leading composites materials revolution and become a global famous company."


Niels Steenberg from Siemens Gamesa said "Swancor is a solid partner of Siemens Gamesa in the sustainable business. The two parties signed Taiwan’s first wind turbine blade resin supply contract, Swancor provided resin for the wind turbine blades of offshore wind farms in the second phase of offshore wind power farm, jointly promoting the localization of wind turbine materials. The cooperation between the two parties has continued to deepen in recent years. At the same time, the strategic cooperation between Siemens Gamesa and Swancor in recyclable blade resin is progressing steadily towards planning. At present, 20 pieces of recyclable blade resin have been manufactured in Denmark, and final product quality testing and certification are in progress. In the future, through Swancor’s innovative technology to recycle the fiber and resin of the blades when the end of their service life is reached, helping us realize our vision of recycling all wind turbine units in Taiwan. "
